Welcome to Grande Prairies Leader in Martial Arts, Self Defence, and Fitness! We have over 150 classes a month for adults spread over 13 different programs all under one roof! Adult Gold Memberships are all-inclusive, so are able to participate in any program 17+. Which includes: Boxing, Women only Boxing, Olympic Taekwondo, GO Kickboxing, Beginner BJJ, MMA, Rock Climbing, Pumped Up Kicks!, Self Defense, ChampionFit Bootcamps, Buti Yoga, and so much more! Taekwondo is the most popular martial art on Earth. It’s an Olympic sport that is great fun to learn, practice, and perform. You can’t be too young or too old to enjoy TKD. Do it as a regular work-out, use it to discipline your life-style, test your skills in competition, become a Black Belt… or do it all!

Mixed Martial Arts-MMA
Learn takedowns, positions, escapes, and control all the way down to the submission where we incorporate the very best ‘high percentage’ techniques of Brazilian Jiujitsu and Submission Grappling. Under 5x World Jiujitsu Champion Bibiano Fernandes and taught by Brazilian Jiujitsu Black Belt, former UFC Athlete, and KOTC light heavyweight Champion Bill ‘The Butcher’ Mahood. Champion Gym has turned the corner into a new era of a ground game not seen in Grande Prairie before. Intermediate to Advanced only. Pre-requisite – strong base in either Boxing, Kickboxing, NOGI, or GI Jiujitsu.

Brazilian Jiujitsu (Beginner)

Led by Master Alex Goc-Ong, GO is a Filipino style of Kickboxing. Dominating the fight scene and has proven very effective against other stand-up fighting arts. Yaw-Yan closely resembles Muay Thai but differs in the hip-torquing motion, the downward-cutting nature of its kicks, and the emphasis on spinning and long-range attacks. Beginning with a basic skill set overview, this class quickly evolves into set combinations, partner, mitt, and bag drills. This is a must for any aspiring or experienced kickboxer or MMA athlete.

Wrestling is a combat sport involving grappling-type techniques such as clinch fighting, throws and takedowns, joint locks, pins, and other grappling holds. Led by Coach Adam Link who has produced multiple champions in Freestyle and Folkstyle wrestling and is a staple of Champion Gym MMA training.
At this time, our Olympic Wrestling is infused into our Intermediate/Advanced NOGI Brazilian Jiujitsu.
Women’s Only Boxing
More than anything, boxing is an incredible form of movement. It gets the entire body and mind working together in sync. Boxing is a holistic form of exercise that engages the whole person. The benefits of boxing transition into our client’s lives outside of the ring. So, whether you want to compete or simply get in an awesome workout, boxing may be your missing fitness link.

Buti is a movement practice that fuses power yoga, tribal dance, and plyometrics into a high energy practice that transforms the body from the INSIDE out. Buti Yoga helps us tap into our inner power and unleash unshakable confidence, uncover true desire, and bond with other humans. It’s about cultivating a community of empowered humans who support one another.

Burn Twice the Calories in Half the Time with our 40 Minute Lunch Time Champion HIIT Classes! Our short, intense fitness classes are an awesome calorie burner, a new addition to our timetable-Monday-Friday at noon and perfect for people who: need to get in and out of the gym fast, struggle to fit in the time to exercise in the evenings or weekends, like the idea of going home in the evenings knowing you’ve done your bit for looking after your body, need to escape the office, get a change of scenery and relieve some stress, love the buzz and feel-good factor you get from exercise and want maximum results in minimum time… Then our 40-minute lunchtime fitness classes are a great way to make the most of your day and make sure you’re investing in your health as well as your work.

Distilled from Filipino Arnis, Krav Maga, Japanese and Brazilian Jiujitsu as well as MMA.

Bring the whole family, or just yourself, for an hour of playful and engaging based flow. Come as you are and bring your entire family, no matter how giggly, chatty, wild, messy, shy, or new to yoga they are! This class is for EVERYBODY! Connect with yourself and your family through movement in a space that is safe for you to let go of any expectations or worry. (All ages of kids welcomed as long as they stay on their mat for the duration of the class for safety reasons, even if their participation is just them sitting or lying there)
Mommy and Me
This class is designed to be an open and relaxed space for Moms to gather, breathe, move, sweat, and connect in a judgment-free space. We know toddlers can be crazy but each child and their Mom are welcome! Each class will start with conversation + connection then continue with breath-work and movement (from yoga to dancing depending on the tots). Tuesday and Thursday at 11 am
Pumped Up Kicks 2.0!
An hour of Dry Clubbing every Saturday night – free for members! Get your fitness on in a club atmosphere with pumping music, laser lighting, strobes, and light fog for a fitness experience you won’t forget! Coming early December 2020.
Multi-sport specific conditioning through our own 10 x 3-minute circuit training designed to improve agility, speed, endurance, and reaction time while strengthening movements. Standalone throughout the day or incorporated into the warm-up routine of our classes, ChampionFit is the self-paced and coached Champion’s choice whether you want to be an athlete or just look like one.
