What CJJ Develops
- Guard, mount, side control, and back control — positional understanding
- Escapes and reversals — getting out of bad positions using leverage
- Takedowns and trips with wrestling foundations
- Submissions — armlocks, chokes, and leg locks introduced progressively
- Gi and No Gi training — complementary skill sets
Self-Defence Application
Jiu-jitsu addresses the most common real-world scenario — grabs, tackles, and ground situations — directly. A trained jiu-jitsu practitioner has a genuine physical advantage over an untrained opponent regardless of size difference. The leverage-based approach is specifically designed for this.
