Youth MMA Classes in Grande Prairie | Ages 12-17 | Champion Gym
Youth MMA at Champion Gym in Grande Prairie combines striking, wrestling, and grappling for teens ages 12 to 17. It is the most complete fighting system available — and for teenagers in particular, the combination of physical challenge and skill development produces results that individual disciplines alone rarely match.
Coaching is led by Coach Raphael (former Canadian Heavyweight MMA Champion, 40+ years of martial arts training and competition) with Devon Sherwood (Alberta Provincial Jiu-Jitsu Champion) handling the wrestling and grappling components.

Why MMA for Teenagers
By 12-17, teens can handle the full complexity of a multi-discipline system. The physical demand is high and the technical content is deep — which keeps them engaged. The confidence that comes from being genuinely capable across striking, wrestling, and grappling is different from any single-discipline program.
