๐CHAMPION HOCKEYย
2025 SUMMER CAMPSย
'EVERY POSITION A LEADER, EVERY PLAYER A CHAMPION'
BACK BY GROWING POPULAR DEMAND
Now with 4 Separate WEEKS of Season-Readiness Hockey Performance Camp Training for U9-U15
Train with the best this summer at Champion Hockey Camps โ a one-of-a-kind development opportunity for young athletes ages 7 to 14, delivered by professional players and a high-level coach with deep Alberta roots and national-level experience.
Whether your child is just starting out or already skating in league play, our camps are designed to challenge, inspire, and accelerate their development โ on the ice and in life.
Zach Bannister โ Forward, Indy Fuel (ECHL)
Born and raised in Grande Prairie, Zach Bannister is a hometown success story who climbed the ranks from local rinks to the professional level. Zach played junior hockey in the SJHL where he posted 135 points in 133 games, including a breakout 70-point season with La Ronge. He went on to play NCAA college hockey at Wisconsin-Superior (where he won a WIAC championship) and Stevenson University, scoring 27 points in 28 games during his final year. Zach made his professional debut with the Norfolk Admirals before joining the Adirondack Thunder and now the Indy Fuel in the ECHL. His journey reflects exactly what we aim to instill in our players โ skill, resilience, and belief in whatโs possible.
Reece Harsch โ Defenseman, Idaho Steelheads (ECHL)
Standing at 6โ4โ, Reece Harsch brings size, experience, and leadership to the Champion Hockey staff. Reece played in the WHL for five seasons with the Seattle Thunderbirds, Saskatoon Blades, and Winnipeg Ice, where he tallied over 80 points and helped Seattle win the WHL Championship in 2017. He later competed for the University of Manitoba before going pro in both the AHL (with the Abbotsford Canucks) and the ECHL. After international play in the UKโs EIHL, Reece returned to North America to join the Idaho Steelheads. Heโs not only a proven competitor but a calm, tactical teacher who knows how to break down high-level play for developing athletes.
Travis Fowler โ Professional Coach & Hockey Developer
Coach Fowler is a veteran instructor with experience in both high-level hockey and athletic development. Known for his innovative approach to dryland and mindset training, Travis has worked with professional hockey organizations including the San Antonio Rampage (AHL), as well as coaching professionally for the National Hockey Training Centre and brings a background that blends sports psychology, discipline, and elite performance techniques. Based in Grande Prairie, Fowler is deeply involved in the community and is also known for his previous long-term role with the Grande Prairie Storm as a play-by-play commentator and game-night host, which he now does for Grande Prairie Athletics Sr Menโs team. As a complement to his achievements in the 200-foot game, Travis also completed a 10-year journey to black belt in Wado karate and a lifelong dedication to coaching. Coach Fowler understands discipline and brings a leadership-driven training style that goes far beyond drills โ he helps build athletes from the inside out.
